Stacey Papp, owner and designer, Bay Hill Jewelers
Stacey Papp, owner of Bay Hill Jewelers at 7782 W. Sand Lake Road, is branching out to a new demographic: the fashion-forward Park Avenue scene in Winter Park.
Papp started her trek into the jewelry business during her college years when she worked with Connecticut-based Littman Jewelers. After 10 years there, Papp opened her own shop in Florida.
Bay Hill Jewelers specializes in custom engagement ring design, from choosing the cut of the stone to the setting. “It is important to create a bond with our clients. Choosing an engagement ring is such a personal and memorable experience. We want to help make it a great one.”
Papp is excited to bring her eye for design to Winter Park. Scheduled to open mid-November, the new store will be at 216 N. Park Ave.
First job: Kay Jewelers
Little-known fact: I love helping people and have started my own philanthropy, The Bridges of Light Foundation.
Favorite distraction: Good food
Greatest challenge: Building a perfect team. It’s difficult to find people who are passionate about their job and have a zest for life.
Best way to stay competitive: Maintaining a level of excitement for your job and treating every client the same
What motivates me: To be a good role model for my children and the children I work with through my philanthropy
Goal yet to be achieved: I would love to open more stores and keep expanding.
Best business decision: Opening the Sand Lake location. There are no other jewelers around, so people really got to know us.
Worst business decision: Making decisions on a whim that felt right at the time but ultimately were not
Best advice received: Always keep giving and supporting, and customers will come back.
